Updates for the month
Principal's Message
Hello FES Families,
We've got an exciting month ahead and a lot of great things happening at our school!
This week is all about showing our school spirit! We have a fun-filled Spirit Week planned, and our office staff will be selling beads to raise money for our school. Your support helps us continue to offer exciting activities for our students throughout the year. Beads will be delivered Friday morning to students to have during homecoming festivities. Beads are $1 per necklace.
Next Friday, the 26th, we'll be celebrating one of our most beloved traditions: the Passing of the Gladiator Spirit. Our youngest students, the kindergarteners, will meet the seniors at center field for this special event. It's a fantastic moment that truly highlights the bond between our students.
Finally, a big thank you to our entire student body for their excellent work during our first fire drill last Tuesday, the 14th. They did a phenomenal job following directions and evacuating the building quickly and safely. We also want to give a special shout-out to our outstanding Security Team for their help in clearing the hallways and ensuring a smooth evacuation for everyone.
It's a great time to be an FES Gladiator!

Volunteer Form Reminder
With Halloween right around the corner, it is important that if you are wanting to volunteer in the classroom that you fill out the form with plenty of time for Central Office to go through and do their background checks.
Fire Safety
We are excited to have our local Fowlerville Fire Department come in and do some fire safety presentations with our students on the 7th and 8th of October.
Drop off and Pick up
Drop Off
If you are parking in the parking lot, please make sure that when you are dropping off your child that you are walking them all the way across the parking lot and to the entrance. This is to keep your child safe from crossing vehicles and ensure that they make it to the school safely.
If you are going to use the drop off line please be sure to stay in your vehicle at all times. If you need to get out of your vehicle for any reason, please pull into a parking space.
Pick Up
When you are coming to pick up your child, be sure to make contact with your child's teacher to ensure that your child is being picked up by the appropriate person. Be careful when exiting the parking lot as well, we have already had a few incidents and would appreciate no more.
If you’re doing a quick drop-off, pull all the way forward before stopping so we can keep the line moving.
Attendance & Appointments
We know life happens, but consistent attendance is one of the biggest factors in a child’s success at school — both academically and socially.
-
If your child must leave for an appointment, call the office (517-223-6400) ahead of time so we can have them ready.
-
Please limit early pickups and tardies when possible — those minutes add up quickly.
