Schoology: Using Bulk Edit to Edit Due Dates and Sync to SIS

Looking for a way to clear up student due dates and to make syncing to TAC faster? Use the Bulk Edit feature found in your Schoology Gradebook tab.

1. Click on Gradebook.

2. Click on the 3 dots located in the upper right corner and select Bulk Edit.

3. For the first grading period, E1: 2020-08-24 - 2020-10-16, uncheck each of the boxes in the Sync to SIS column.

4. Next, under the Due Date column click and delete the due date and time for each assignment posted.

4. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the 2nd grading period.

5. Repeat steps 1- 5 for ALL remaining Schoology Courses.

NOTE: After report cards have been generated and sent home for the 3rd grading period, repeat the process for the 3rd grading period for all courses.

Jamboard Backgrounds on Canva for Educators

Did you know that Jamboard was recently upgraded to include the ability to add your own backgrounds? That's right! Now you can create your own backgrounds and add them to your Jams. I know some of you might be thinking, but I don't have time to create something new. I hear you, but don't worry. I have a solution for you. Canva for Educators now offers Jamboard templates for you to use as is or you can edit what's available and make them your own.

If you haven't already done so, you need to create a Canva for Education account. It only takes a few minutes to set up. By creating a teacher account, you not only gain FREE access to images, clipart, templates, and more, but you also gain access to all of their Education templates. After you set up your account, the directions state that you will receive an email verifying your account. I never received a verification email, but the next time I logged into Canva my account had been upgraded.

Now that you have updated your account, you are ready to begin exploring. From the Canva Home page, scroll down to Online Whiteboards. When you see a background/template you like, click on it. Now, you can edit it and make any changes you want. Once you have everything set up, you can download it and upload it to your Jamboard.

Audio can now be added to labels, images, or shapes! That's right, you can now embed audio for individual elements within a Seesaw lesson. This is a definite game-changer for students needing additional support. Did I mention how easy it is to do?

Upload Audio 🔉

Have you already created your own audio files and have them shared on your device? You can now embed those into a Seesaw workspace too. Students and teachers can embed up to 20 audio files per page!

Lock Size 🔒
Tired of students resizing your shapes or labels?? BUT, you can't lock them because you need the students to be able to drag them around? Problem solved! You now have the option to lock the SIZE only of an object. Watch the demo video below to see how fast and simple is to lock the size only!

You must have the 7.6 Update to see these features. We are working with the district to make sure the update is pushed out to all iPads. Please make sure your teacher iPad is updated, or go to the app store and update it yourself!
