If your son or daughter is signed up for basketball, you will be receiving an invite to join a BAND group soon. Please accept this invitation, as this will be a major communication piece for our coaches this season.
A signed copy of the Athletic Handbook and an Athletic Physical will need to be turned in to the school office before the first practice. The Pay to Play fee will be billed through FACTS.
Schedules are subject to change (especially A, B, C team designations):
Health Screenings
Students in Nebraska schools must be screened for vision, hearing, and dental health. In addition, height and weight measurements must be taken, although parents may opt out with a written request. The purpose of screening is to identify those students needing further evaluation or assistance for their health, not to make a diagnosis. Grades K-4, 7th Grade and new students are required to be screened. Students with a doctor's physical report on file that covers vision, hearing, or dental exams are exempt from screening. Screenings at St. John will take place in October: height/weight Oct.8 and vision/dental Oct.22
School Pictures
Your student has received their picture order or a flier to order school photos. If your student needs a retake photo, please let us know: school@stjohnseward.org Retake day is Monday Nov. 2.
If you need a retake and ordered a picture package, have your student bring the package on retake day to give the photographer. Inter-State Studio will re-order the same package using the retake photo.
