The Great Cover-Up: January Jigsaw Challenge🧩

Can you see the big picture? Our January library contest is officially live! In honor of National Puzzle Month, we are using digital interactive puzzles to test your bookish knowledge. Your mission: Assemble the pieces, identify the book, and claim your victory.

🕵️ How to Play

1. Solve: Click the puzzle links provided below to start assembling. (Hint: You get to decide the puzzle difficulty from very easy [4 pieces] to challenging [64 pieces]. Click on the difficulty you prefer to start solving!)

2. Identify: Once the puzzle is finished, look closely at the revealed cover. Do you recognize the title?

3. Submit: Return to this Google Form to enter the title of the book for each puzzle you complete. (Head's Up: The Google form will automatically mark your answer as incorrect if spelling and capitalization does not exactly match the title of the book. However, we may give credit if we can tell that you properly identified the book).

📌 Contest Rules

1 Point per Correct Answer: The more puzzles you solve, the more points you earn!

The Final Drawing: Students with the highest scores will have their names entered into our grand prize drawing.

Contest Dates: The challenge is open from January 1 – January 29 (National Puzzle Day).

🎁 Our Prize Cart includes: candy, brand new books, pens and trinkets from the Book Fair, arts and crafts supplies, and more!

Spotlight on Digital Citizenship: Tech Planners

Throughout this school year, students will participate in digital citizenship lessons during their advisory period. These lessons will focus on the responsible, ethical, and informed use of technology and the internet. Digital citizenship includes understanding how to interact safely and respectfully online, protect personal information, recognize and prevent cyberbullying, and respect the intellectual property rights of others. To find out more about digital citizenship and why it's important, explore the Common Sense Education website.

This month, we're highlighting effective ways to manage technology use in our daily lives. Entertainment and technology can inspire meaningful conversations, and tech planners offer a great tool to understand how your family optimizes entertainment and tech time together.

Explore the Common Sense Media bank of tech planners to guide a reflection on key questions about daily technology use: What will I do? How much time will I spend? Am I making thoughtful choices?
