Color Run Update
We are off to a great start! Thanks to the generosity of our Coelho families and community, we have already raised nearly $16,000 toward our $40,000 goal for the Color Run on June 12. That is incredible momentum, and we are just getting started. Every donation — big or small — brings us closer to making this event a huge success for our students. If you haven't had a chance to contribute or share our fundraiser yet, there is still plenty of time. Let's keep the energy going, Coelho!

Grade 8 students explore a scene from Romeo and Juliet through performance
Coelho eighth graders recently brought one of literature's most iconic stories to life as they performed scenes from Romeo and Juliet in class. Students worked collaboratively to interpret Shakespeare's language, make creative choices about character and tone, and deliver their scenes to peers. The activity challenged students to think deeply about the text, not just what the words mean, but how they feel when spoken aloud. It was a memorable reminder that Shakespeare was written to be performed, not just read.

- 🍳 Eat a healthy breakfast — a nutritious meal fuels focus and stamina
- ⏰ Arrive on time — late arrivals disrupt testing and can cause unnecessary stress
- 📵 Leave devices at home — phones and smartwatches must be powered off during testing
- 💧 Stay hydrated — students may bring a water bottle to their testing session
- 💬 Talk it up positively — encourage your student to approach MCAS as an opportunity to show what they know and how much they've grown this year
- Charge the Chromebook — MCAS is taken online, so please make sure your child's Chromebook is fully charged the night before each testing day.
We are proud of all that our students have accomplished this year, and we know they are ready to shine. Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting student success!
