Snacking and Learning
Students in Ms. Schaefer's classes have been enjoying active brains and full stomaches this week. Pictured above are students in Animal Science class practicing taxonomic classification (the scientific process of naming, defining, and organizing living things into groups based on shared traits) with a variety of snacks, while at right, Intro to Ag students use pudding dirt cups to model the different soil horizons during their land evaluation unit.

Know Your Resources!
Students in Mr. Holler's Geography class are learning all about the earth's renewable and nonrenewable resources--and how to mangage them. To underscore and celebrate this point, Mr. Holler wore his Settlers of Catan resources shirt. If you know, you know!
Celebrate HOCO and Support the Class of 2028
The Junior class is partnering with 605 Designs to sell Homecoming shirts and hoodies for this year! A portion of each garment sale will go directly to the Junior Class. To see this year's design and to purchase a shirt, please use the link attached. Thank you in advance for the support. Go Redmen!

Leaving it on the Trail
Another shout-out to the HS Cross-Country team! Runners have been busy traveling to Sioux Falls and Aberdeen this past week and will visit Milbank this coming weekend. Keep setting the bar high and the pace fast!
MEET THE NEW(ish) TEACHER
Name: Sharon Zettlemoyer (Miss Z)
Subjects Taught/Position: K-4 Music, HS Choir
Experience: 14 years teaching, 11 years K-12
What is one of your favorite things about working in schools? The kids! They are the best part of the day-watching them learn new things and be proud of themselves- that's the best!
What is your favorite dish from the cafeteria? Easily, super nachos!
How do you spend your summer breaks? I read-a lot; 33 books this summer! And, I visit my family back on the East Coast. We spend a week at our beach house in New Jersey!
What would students be surprised to find out about you/something interesting about yourself you’d like to share? Before I decided to pursue music education, I was seriously considering becoming a history teacher. I love history!
Get Caught Doing Something Good!
A shout out to DAKOTA FUENTES this week for stepping up and helping out.
Without being asked, Dakota took the extra time to help Ms. P straighten up her room after everything had been moved for a theatre activity. Thanks for your care and help, Dakota!
