“Forget Us Not” – Holocaust Memorials Exhibition
Dear Parents,
What: “Forget Us Not” – Holocaust Memorials Exhibition
Where: Roberts Gallery, Santa Monica High School
When: Thursday, 2/19: 9 – 10:30am & Friday 2/20: 10 -12pm
Parents are invited to our “Forget Us Not” exhibition. As the culminating project for Santa Monica High School’s PBL Pathway world history, freshman seminar, and English 9/10 classes, students designed and crafted memorials to the Holocaust, inspired by the memoir Night as well as exploring themes of membership and obedience. Each student piece, around fifty in total, is accompanied by an artist’s statement that explains their choices, process, and intentions.
We hope that we might inspire some relevant reflection, especially given the myriad of connections to current events. Please RSVP for the event using the link or QR code on the flyer.
Thanks,
Bailey Field & John Serge

From Emmy® Award winning filmmaker/photographer Lauren Greenfield, Social Studies is a character-driven documentary series that delves into the lives of the first generation raised on social media. Filmed in Los Angeles over a school year, this groundbreaking social experiment features a diverse group of LA teens who open up their lives and phones to offer an intimate glimpse into how social media has reshaped childhood. From battling bullying, grappling with beauty standards, coping with racism, exploring sexuality, navigating the pressures of constant comparison, and making life-altering decisions, their compelling and relatable experiences take us on a raw, visceral and urgent journey through the challenges of growing up in the digital age.
Social Studies is created, directed, and executive produced by Lauren Greenfield (The Queen of Versailles, Generation Wealth, The Kingmaker, THIN) alongside executive producers Frank Evers, Wallis Annenberg, Andrea Van Beuren, Regina K. Scully, and Caryn Capotosto.
