Message from the Principal
Building Healthy Habits, One Choice at a Time
Tiger Families -
Next week, our Tynes Tigers will celebrate Red Ribbon Week, a time dedicated to encouraging healthy choices and drug-free lifestyles. While the week brings fun activities and opportunities to show our school spirit, its message is one that extends far beyond the classroom.
As parents and educators, we play an important role in helping children develop the confidence, resilience, and decision-making skills they need to navigate life's challenges. Conversations about healthy choices can begin at any age. Whether it's choosing kind friends, learning to say no, handling peer pressure, or finding positive ways to manage difficult emotions, these everyday lessons build a foundation for a healthy future.
At Tynes, we encourage our Tigers to recognize that they have the strength to make good choices, even when those choices aren't always easy.
We'll wrap up the week on Friday, October 30, with our theme, βSuit Up for Strength and Stay Drug Free!β Students are invited to wear their Halloween costumes while following school dress code guidelines (including no masks, makeup, or toy weapons).
Have a wonderful weekend,
Dr. Borgese, Principal
