ALL LC ELEMENTARY Schools will have an eLearning day on Friday, Nov. 13 due to Parent/Teacher Conferences.

• Students will be released at 12:10pm. Dismissal procedures will follow normal guidelines.
• ALL students will eat lunch before dismissal. The cafeteria will be offering cheese nachos or grape jelly jammer sandwich. Students still have the option of bringing their own lunch from home.
• IF DISMISSAL is DIFFERENT, please send a note with your child.
• Please Note....AM Early Childhood Classes will be attending from 8:10am - 10:30am.
• NO PM Early Childhood Classes

Student Council is collecting cereal boxes through Friday, Nov. 18 to help feed kids during the holiday season. Place the cereal on the table outside the office door and include your name and teacher name on the boxes donated.

If your child was absent OR you ordered a package on original picture day but are choosing to get your child's picture retaken, your child MUST bring their original picture package with them on retake day to give to the photographer. You DO NOT need to place a new order, but YOU DO NEED your child to bring the original picture package.

As the cooler weather is arriving, please send your child with a heavy coat, hat, and mittens. Weather permitting they will be going out for recess as much as possible. Make sure all items have your child's name on them!!

We have amazing teachers and staff who work daily to ensure our students are safe, cared for, and reach academic success. In order to honor their hard work, we will be doing a monthly staff appreciation recognition! We will accept nominations from parents or other staff members. Two staff members will be randomly drawn each month to highlight them as teacher/staff member of the month! You are welcome to nominate as many adults as you wish or you can save nominations for another month! All nominees will be recognized, but those randomly drawn will get their picture posted to social media and ParentSquare. They will also receive a certificate to hang outside of their classroom door and a small gift of appreciation. This form will be live throughout the entire school year. Please remember Before School Tutoring is every Tuesday and Thursday. Children participating will enter through Door H starting at 7:20am. Doors will close promptly at 7:30am. If a child is dropped off after the doors are closed, a parent will have to walk them into the office. Only students invited to Before School Tutoring by their teacher are able to take advantage of this opportunity. All other students may not enter to building until the doors open at 7:50am.

Please avoid bringing toys from home to play with at recess. We do not want any toys getting lost, traded or even broken by accident. Thank you!

If your child is a CAR rider, please remember to come into the office and get your “family number”. Place the number on the passenger side window so it is easy to see. If someone does not have a number in their car during pick up, they will have to come into the office and show their ID. Car riders will start dismissing at 2:40pm.

If the need to pick up your child arises AFTER your child has left for school, you MUST call the office BEFORE 1:30pm.

If your child will be absent for any reason, please call the office in the morning at (219) 322-1185 to report their absence.

Students are considered tardy if they are NOT IN THEIR CLASSROOMS by 8:10am. Students that are late NEED to be accompanied by an adult to sign them in at the front office.

Each student will be assigned a Chromebook and responsible to carry it back and forth to school each day. Chromebook chargers will be kept at home and students should plug them in each night to ensure they are fully charged for the next school day. Chromebooks are NOT allowed to be out of backpacks on the bus.
