Principal Corner

Dear Smith Stallion Parents and Students,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! It is hard to believe it is 2022! We have had a great start to the new year and the new semester. We are all looking forward to the new semester and watching our students excel and be the best they can be.

REPORT CARDS:

On Monday, January 10th, reports cards for the 2nd quarter will be sent home with your child. After reviewing your child's progress, please sign the envelope and return it to your child's teacher. You may keep the report card. If you have questions regarding your child’s report card, feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher.

PTA:

We would like to invite you to our TG Smith PTA Meeting we will be having on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. We have the most wonderful PTA and we would love to have you join us for our upcoming meeting.

ATTENDANCE:

The new year and the new semester is a great time to make a pledge to get your child to school on time. Reminder: Your child’s day begins at 7:45 a.m. each morning. Our doors open at 7:15 a.m. with free breakfast in the cafeteria until 7:40 a.m. We understand situations will occur but we wanted to ask you to make a commitment to help your child get their day started off right each day by being on time.

CAR RIDER LINE:

Our car rider line in the afternoon is going great! We appreciate everyone staying in their cars and helping us move the car line at an efficient pace. Having the student number available also helps keep the line moving. Just to let you know, the line is usually cleared by 3:20 p.m. It is imperative that you are at school no later than 3:30 p.m. Thank you again for your help following our car rider dismissal procedure.

LOST & FOUND:

The amount of clothing in our Lost & Found continues to grow each day. Please be sure to write your child's name on his/her clothing. If your child’s name is on their jacket/sweater/hoodie, we will be able to return it without putting it in Lost and Found.
