ARVA Flex Program Requirements
Elementary:
In our elementary Flex program, the learning coach is responsible to teach the online lessons. The Flex teachers don’t teach the course lessons. They do support and teach high priority grade level standards. The Flex elementary students will be required to go to classes if they are below grade level on math, ELA, or science standards.
Middle School:
· Required attendance to Algebra 1, English 9, and Physical Science sessions
High School:
● Required attendance to concurrent sessions
● Required attendance to and maintain AP 70% or students have to attend until the grade is a 70% or higher.
The Flex Program offers a unique learning option that allows students to tailor their education according to their individual needs and family schedules.
Parent and Student Engagement
- Families are expected to actively engage with their Flex homeroom teacher. This collaboration helps ensure that students stay on track and meet program expectations. Learning coaches are expected to ensure their students complete daily lessons and logging in daily to keep attendance up to date.
- Students are expected to be highly engaged and show growth.
- Attend class sessions that are required or related to special education services, tutoring sessions, intervention sessions, dyslexia sessions, homeroom sessions, and other required sessions.
