School Fees
If your student has any outstanding fees you will be receiving a Fee Billing Statement in your child's take home folder in the coming week. Payments should be paid online through the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus.
Please accept this notification as a reminder to check the parent portal in Infinite Campus to see if your student owes any fees. These fees can include yearly student fees, library fees, sports, electronic device and repair fees.
Yearly student grade level fees help defray the cost of consumable items used in your students' classroom. Other examples of fees may include items such as device fines and library fines for overdue books.
Although your student is in elementary school please be aware that any outstanding fees will follow students throughout their academic career at Pickerington Local School District. Outstanding fees will result in not being able to receive their high school diploma.
Where to pay fees? You may view and pay your student’s fees on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal under fees. Please log into the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus to view and pay fees.
Parent Portal: https://pickeringtonoh.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/parents/pickerington.jsp

Family Cultural Night looking for volunteers!
Our school is hosting a Fairfield Family Culture Night on February 26th. Our goal for this evening is to celebrate the diversity and rich traditions of our Fairfield families. We are looking for parents who would like to teach a short 15-20 minute session about their culture; this could be sharing an artifact, a recipe, music, dress, a digital slideshow about your country, or any other ideas you have! If you are interested in being a part of this event to share about your culture, please email Michelle DiPietro (Michelle_DiPietro@plsd.us) as soon as possible! Thank you!
I Ready Diagnostics and Leveling Up
Building a Culture of Growth: Upcoming i-Ready Diagnostics
As we head into our upcoming i-Ready Reading and Math Diagnostic window, we want to take a moment to share how proud we are of the hard work your students have put in this year. These assessments are a vital part of our Level-Up Plan, and we want to share why they are so valuable for your child’s success.
What is the i-Ready Diagnostic?
At Fairfield, we are building a culture of learning and growth. We view this diagnostic not as a high-stakes test, but as a "map." When your child gives their best effort, it provides teachers and families with a clear picture of what they have mastered and where they might need a little extra boost.
i-Ready Diagnostic testing starts the week of January 12th for Reading and January 19th for Math.
Key things to remember about the diagnostic:
It is NOT a grade: i-Ready does not assign a letter grade. It is a tool to help us understand your student’s unique learning path.
Wrong answers are okay: The assessment is adaptive, meaning it is designed to find exactly where a student's knowledge ends. They will see questions they don't know yet, and that is perfectly fine!
Effort is everything: Just like in life, you get out of i-Ready what you put into it. We ask that students try their best so we can get the most accurate information to support them.
We use this data to:
Tailor Instruction: Create lessons that meet your child exactly where they are.
Identify Strengths: Celebrate the areas where they are excelling.
Plan Support: Build a personalized path of improvement to ensure they finish the year strong.
How you can help at home:
Encourage Effort: Remind them that "trying your best" is more important than "being perfect."
Rest & Fuel: Ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast.
Stay Positive: A simple "I'm proud of how hard you work" goes a long way.
