Friday Updates
April 17, 2026
From the Principal's Desk
Dear SHS Families,
It has been a week to remember, for sure. Our hearts and prayers are with all families in the area, in and outside of the school and church community, who were affected by the recent storms. It warms my heart to see the outreach to help those in need in these situations. We pray that everyone is safe moving forward into the weekend. If your family knows of a family in need, please reach out to the church or school office, and we can see what we can do to help!
I want to express how impressed I am with our 3rd-6th graders this week, who, with the excitement of the weather, showcased great focus and composure in taking their state assessments. I’m proud of their work and know they will represent the school well on their exams. Students who did not take all their exams this week will make them up next week.
Next week, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting a statue of Our Lady of Fatima beginning at 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 23, until Friday, April 24, around 12:00 pm. Students will help process the statue into the sanctuary on Thursday, followed by a talk given by the statue's caretaker, and some time of prayer with the Blessed Virgin by our side. We invite you to join us. Just please check in at the school office.
With Faith & Hope,
Patrick (P.J.) Greer
