Fall is FINALLY Here!
Boy did the weather change fast! As the leaves begin to change and the fall air moves in, nature reminds us that a change in season is a natural time for a refresh. In an elementary school, this time of year brings a wonderful "reboot," a chance for our students to settle into their routines, refocus on learning goals, and turn a fresh page with renewed energy and curiosity. We want to take a moment to express how grateful we are for the trust you place in us every day. We truly love your children! Thank you for your partnership in making our school commUNITY such a warm and inspiring place to be.

Group Chats: Please Read!
A quick heads-up on group chats: while they seem like a harmless way for kids to stay in touch, they tend to turn into breeding grounds for unnecessary drama, exclusion, and mean behavior. Nothing great usually happens in them, and kids often end up saying things they'd never say face-to-face. Please keep an eye on your child’s phone, check in on their texts, and talk to them about why massive group chats aren't a safe space to hang out. Keeping them safe online takes a village!

UNITY Day
UNITY Day: On October 21st, Ross Elementary will celebrate UNITY Day as we come together to unite against bullying and promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. As Northstars, we want every student to know that they belong, they are valued, and they have a role in making our school a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
Families can help us celebrate by talking with your child about kindness, including others, using safe and respectful words and actions, and speaking up when someone needs help. Classroom resources and activities will be shared with students throughout the day. We will also have a Unity Day poster in the main hallway where students and staff can take the Bully-Free Pledge and sign their name as a commitment to helping create a bully-free Ross. Use this link to learn more about UNITY Day and how you can support your student at home.
