The Academy Avenue Announcements

Dear Academy Families and Friends,

Welcome officially to February. While the month is short, there are a lot of great events in the works (Please be sure to see the list of important dates in the section below). Just a friendly reminder that while the days are starting to grow longer, the cold air and winds are still here. Please be sure to send your children to school dressed for the winter weather each day.

One of our favorite days to celebrate here at Academy is the 100th day of school. This is a day where students can dress up like they were 100 years old. The kids always do a great job getting into the spirit and show how much they have grown. After all, with age comes wisdom!

Also quickly approaching is our school's Valentine's Day Dance. It is this Friday, February 10 at 6PM. We'll have dancing upstairs in the gymnasium as well as crafts and games downstairs in the Cafeteria. Please remember that this is not a drop off event. A parent/guardian needs to attend as well. It should be a fun time for all!

I hope you had a wonderful (and warm) weekend!

Mr. Higgins
