CNA Initiative
BIG Opportunities in Biomedical Sciences! Students at Pike Central High School recently had an exciting opportunity to learn about the CNA Initiative β and the future is looking bright!
Guest speakers Kevin Valsdares from University of Southern Indiana and Ariel Eck from Trilogy Health Services shared how students can begin working with Amber Manor or surrounding facilities, as early as their junior year. Even more exciting β USI offers direct admission into their School of Nursing for students who apply, qualify, and maintain the required GPA throughout this program!
We also heard from PC senior, Lila Taylor, who shared her experience as one of the programβs pioneers and the amazing opportunities ahead as she begins her freshman year at USI next fall.
Pike Central Biomedical Sciences students are the FIRST high school group selected to participate in this initiative β an incredible honor and opportunity for our program! A huge thank you to Mrs. Richeson for coordinating this opportunity, and to Mr. Russell and Ms. Elkins for supporting our students. PCHS is proud of our continued partnership with Trilogy and USI!
