A Message from Mr. Kuch!
We are rolling into the month of May and the rest of the year with a ton of activities as well as testing! What a combo! Here are the things to learn about this month at Jefferson!
- 5th Grade Field Day is May 14 at the River King and Queen Athletic Complex
- 5th Grade Recognition is May 23rd at 4:00pm at Jefferson
- Jefferson Field Day is May 29th at Jefferson
- Early Returns for ISASP for 3rd - 5th Grades

WE CAN DO HARD THINGS!
We have our ISASP scores trickling in, and preliminary indicators are that our student cohort groups, by and large, are outperforming their scores from the previous year! This is a testament to our staff at Jefferson, you, the caregivers, and most importantly, the kids. We tell kids every day that they can do hard things, and they are are showing it! The official reports will be sent home this summer in the mail or by email. Remember this is for grades 3-5.
Even though the end of the year is here, our attendance still matters! As a school, we are at 93% attendance for the year, with our goal of being at 94%. Now, it is possible to get to 94% attendance if we finish really strong in the last month of school. Next year, the attendance laws are changing and any student who misses 20% or more of a grading period (think of the trimesters!) will have to have an attendance meeting with the school and a representative from the County Attorney's office. This is not something that any of us want, so please finish this year strong, as well as at the start of next year.
