On September 3rd, the Arrows defeated White River Valley 5–0 at home, followed by a 5–0 victory over Brown County on September 6th. In the Brown County match, Sullivan swept all singles and doubles matches convincingly, with Hunter Pinkston, Carter Mischler, and Sam Couch all winning in straight sets. The doubles teams of Spencer Hanks/Jaxon Zollman and Zane Abbott/Easton Monroe also posted dominant wins.

On September 8th, Sullivan traveled to Bloomfield and came away with a hard-fought 5–0 victory. Hunter Pinkston battled through a three-set tiebreak thriller at #1 singles, while Carter Mischler and Sam Couch secured key wins at #2 and #3 singles. Both doubles teams also earned victories, sealing the sweep.

On September 9th, Sullivan hosted Owen Valley, earning a 4–1 win. Carter Mischler and Sam Couch picked up decisive singles wins, while Hanks/Zollman and Abbott/Monroe claimed doubles victories. JV players Tanner Boyll, Carter Lee, and Brody Cary also contributed wins.

Coach’s Comments

“Our team has been playing very well and showing strength at every position,” said Coach. “One of our biggest goals from the start of the season was to win conference for a third year in a row. We’re excited to be 5–0 in conference play, and we hope to finish strong and bring home another undefeated WIC

In accordance with Indiana law, required vision screenings will be conducted for all 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 8th grade students on October 7, 8, and 9. These screenings help identify potential vision concerns that may affect student learning and classroom success.

If a student does not pass the screening, a referral letter will be sent home with recommendations for a more in-depth exam by an eye doctor.

Parents and guardians with questions are encouraged to contact Mrs. Wheeler at awheeler@swest.k12.in.us.
