Why Attendance Matters
December 2025

January is here! ❄️
A new year is a chance for new beginnings, recommitting to goals, and hitting the reset button. Attendance plays a big part in success—being in school every day helps students stay on track, feel connected, and reach their goals.
January Attendance Challenge: Students, families, and staff—what are you looking forward to this year at Quincy Public Schools? Share a photo or short video of yourself with a note about it! It could be anything—sports, attendance, school goals, or just something you’re excited about in 2026. Let’s start the year strong and show what makes our QPS community great!

Attendance Tip of the Month
Starting the New Year Strong
Start the year strong: January offers a fresh start. Consistent attendance now helps build habits that carry through the rest of the school year.
Plan ahead when possible: Scheduling appointments outside of school hours helps reduce missed classroom time.
Every day matters: Each day at school supports learning, growth, and meaningful connections.
