I wanted to share how impressed I am with our students' behavior during last week's "Hey Dude, Nice Shoes" presentation. They were respectful, engaged, and demonstrated excellent listening skills throughout the event. We're proud of their wonderful conduct! Thank you, MRE PTA, for bringing this speaker to our school.
Looking ahead: Big things are happening at school this month!
Pre-K registration is now open, so don't miss the chance to enroll. Our counselors invite parents to learn about test anxiety as they host "Coffee with the Counselors." We're also excited to celebrate our amazing volunteers at the Volunteer Celebration, and we have the Howdy Helper WorkDay coming up to support our school community. Plus, the scheduled STAAR assessments are just around the corner, so let's stay focused and finish the month strong! The dedication and effort put in by both teachers and students is inspiring.

The Katy ISD Education Foundation provides resources to enrich teaching, inspire learning, and enhance opportunities. This foundation unites our community in making targeted investments in Katy ISD schools.
Support the foundation by grabbing a meal or snack out with family and friends on April 2nd.
1. Choose a participating restaurant from the 2025 list.
2. Plan ahead, order ahead, or dine in with your family at one of the business from the list.
3. Mention "Dine Out to Donate" when you pay for your meals.
4. Participating restaurants donate a percentage of their sales that day.
Students enrolling for the 2024-2025 School Year must be 4 on or before September 1, 2024 and meet one of the eligibility requirements set by the state of Texas.
Parents must complete the online registration process through Katy ISD's PowerSchool Registration website. Only students whose registration paperwork is complete will be offered the opportunity to be screened for language eligibility / prekindergarten program eligibility.
Please note that due to the limited number of spaces, campus placement is determined by availability at the time of your completed registration process. If the home campus is full, PreK students will be redirected to the closest available campus. Parent webinars are posted to guide parents before they begin the enrollment process.

Make sure you order a yearbook for your family in advance!
Students that have participated in the reading program may turn in their form to Ms.Maddox, no later tha April 4th.
Ms.Maddox will keep track of students that completed their reading. Students will receive their tickets at the beginning of May.
Two FREE tickets will be given to attend a Sugar Land Space Cowboys Game!

The 10th Annual CTE STEM Summer Camp will be held this summer at Tays Junior High, providing incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students with an engaging, hands-on STEM learning experience.
Camp Dates (Students Choose One Session):
• Session 1: Monday, June 9, 2025 – Thursday, June 12, 2025
• Session 2: Monday, June 16, 2025 – Thursday, June 19, 2025
• Time: 8:00AM – 3:00PM
Location: Tays Junior High
Cost: $180 per student (includes lunch & t-shirt)
Transportation: Not provided; must be arranged by parents/guardians
Registration Details:
• Opens Monday, April 14, 2025 at 8:00AM
• Available online only through Pay N Go
• Limited to 128 students per session (first-come, first-served)
• Each student may register for only one session (both cover the same content)
• Payment via Pay N Go is required at registration and is non-refundable
