I always laugh at those memes that try to explain Colorado's erratic weather. You know those ones that say 1st, 2nd, 3rd winter…I think we’ve been blessed with a warm fall, but we also know that the cold and the wind are right around the corner. With the fall season comes the first glimpses of winter, and I want to make sure our families and students are prepared. As a reminder, we implement a soft start for all grades (inside the building at 7:30) when the temperature is below 20 degrees, including wind chill. We also go outside for recess unless the feels-like temperature is below 20 degrees. As always, if anyone needs help with coats during the cold months, please let us know.

Important Pre-School Changes Important Pre-School Changes

Preschool Program Update for the 2026–27 School Year

Harmony Ridge P-8 is adjusting its preschool program for the 2026–27 school year to better meet the needs of our growing school community. Beginning next year, our school will transition from four preschool classes to two, returning to the number of classes the building was originally designed to accommodate.

The temporary expansion to four preschool classes in 2023 allowed us to meet increased community demand while space was available prior to the opening of the new P-8 school in Horizon Uptown. With enrollment increasing across additional grade levels, Harmony Ridge will now return to its original preschool configuration.

For the 2026–27 school year, Harmony Ridge will offer one full-day preschool class for 4-year-olds and two half-day programs to serve as many students as possible.

We appreciate the continued partnership of our families as we make these adjustments to support all students at Harmony Ridge P-8.

As parents, we always have conversations with our friends and neighbors about what we'd like to see at the school. This is a chance to make those conversations a reality. Fill out the CES by this Friday.

Let's do this! We are in 6th place. We need everyone to complete the survey. Not just to be on top, but more importantly to have your voice heard!
