Graduation Message about Safety and Security
Dear Students and Families of the Class of 2026,
On behalf of ISD 622, we are honored to invite you to our upcoming graduation ceremonies at Aldrich Arena in Maplewood. North High School will celebrate on Wednesday, June 3 at 7:00 p.m.
Graduation is a time of celebration, reflection, and pride. Our seniors have worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone, and we are excited to recognize their accomplishments with families, friends, and staff.
To ensure a safe, respectful, and memorable event for all, please review the following important safety and event protocols. These guidelines are in place to ensure that the focus remains on honoring our graduates in a safe and dignified setting.
Each graduate will receive six (6) guest tickets in advance, required for all attendees—young children and infants included. Each ticket is barcoded and will not work if duplicated. No one will be admitted without a ticket.
All attendees will enter through a single point of entry on the east side of the arena. All other exterior doors will be locked and monitored by security staff.
All guests will pass through a weapons detection system prior to entry. Weapons of any kind—including guns, knives, mace, or similar items—are strictly prohibited on the premises.
The graduation ceremony is a drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free event, consistent with ISD 622 policies.
Noisemakers such as air horns are not permitted, as they disrupt the ceremony and interfere with the experience of others.
Please leave bags, balloons and large flower bouquets in your vehicle, as these gifts may be given to your graduate after the ceremony.
We look forward to celebrating this important milestone with you and your family. The Class of 2026 has demonstrated resilience, commitment, and heart—and we are proud to recognize each of them for their achievements.
Warm regards,
Kevin Wolff
Principal, North High School
Cap and Gown and Senior Photo Information
Cap and Gown packages will be distributed to students on the Football field during WIN time on Tuesday the 26th. Before we distribute we will also take the CLASS OF 2026 SENIOR CLASS PHOTO. Mr Reda will take the picture of everyone up in the stands at 10:15. In order to pick up your cap and gown you MUST be eligible. That means:
You have paid your $60 graduation fee
You have paid all other fees
You are academically eligible to participate in graduation–meaning you are missing or at risk of missing no more than 2 graduation requirements.
If you are missing one of these your cap and gown and tickets will be put on hold and you will need to complete this form Cap and Gown Hold Release Link
Honor Cord Clarity
As in past years, students graduating with Honors will be recognized at the commencement ceremony by wearing Gold or Silver Honor Cords along with their other graduation attire.
Graduating with Distinction (GPA 4.01 and above): Gold Honor Cord
Graduating with Honors (GPA 3.75-4.00): Silver Honor Cord
Honor Cords should be worn draped around the shoulders with tassels hanging in front. Honor Cords will be distributed with caps and gowns.
Graduates may wear other honor cords so long as those cords are issued by North High, 622 programs or 622 partner Schools and Districts–such as the 916 program at Century. Cords from programs or groups not directly tied to 622 or a partner institution will not be allowed. North High Administration reserves the right to reject any cord that might be disruptive or inconsistent with North High values. Contact Mr Reynolds if you have any questions.
