A letter from Mrs. Chmielowicz Irwin Principal

Dear Irwin Families,

  • Thank you to the many families who hosted tables for our indoor Trunk or Treat, your flexibility to enable the night to go on is very appreciated

  • Thank you for your partnership during our parent teacher conferences this week, we enjoy getting to speak to you about the wonderful things our students are doing here at Irwin School.

  • The flyer that outlines our entire day for Halloween festivities was sent home last TODAY and is also linked below. Pleae ensure that you and your child understand the schedule for the day. A reminder that the AM PreK, Kindergarten and Grades 1-4 parades are at 10am sharp! The parade only lasts about 15 miuntes so it's important to be here on time. As always class pictures will happen on the blacktop at the end of the parade.

Our School schedule for the first week of November is as follows:

  • Monday 11/2 and Wednesday 11/4: Full Days of school with lunch served

  • Tuesday 11/3, Thursday 11/5 and Friday 11/6 SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED.

The PTA is sponsoring a fundraiser for PE Equipment, more information is below and going home in your child's folder this week.

Have a great weekend, see you at the Halloween parade!

One Team, One Dream!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Chmielowicz

You can now report absences on the parent portal!

We are happy to share that parents of students in Grades K–6 can now report absences online in the Genesis Parent Portal.
This feature has already been available for Grades 7–12, and starting Friday, August 22 at 2:00 PM, it will be open for Grades K–6 as well. If you are having technical issues with this process, please report them by emailing parentsupport@ebnet.org.

Please note: Only parents can enter absences. Students cannot do this in their own Genesis account.

How to report an absence:

  1. Go to https://parents.ebnet.org and log in to the Parent Portal.
  2. On the left menu, click ATTENDANCE → NOTIFY OFFICE.
  3. From the drop-down menu, select the type of absence.
  4. Enter the date your child will be absent.
  5. If the absence is for more than one day, enter the last day in the UP THROUGH field.
  6. If you have more than one child, check the box next to the child who will be absent.
  7. If you have a doctor’s note or other document, you may upload it by clicking CHOOSE FILES.
  8. Write the reason for the absence and any extra information, then click SUBMIT TO OFFICE.
