Message from GHS Administration Message from GHS Administration

We are proud to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Gainesville High School Class of 2026 on their many outstanding accomplishments. This remarkable group of students has demonstrated dedication, perseverance, and excellence throughout their high school journey. More than 446 seniors successfully completed at least one Pathway within our specialty program, with over 148 achieving Pathway with Distinction through the completion of an Extended Learning Experience. Additionally, 33 seniors are set to earn the prestigious AP Capstone Diploma, and collectively, the Class of 2026 secured more than $9 million in scholarships. It was truly a joy to celebrate this exceptional class during last week’s events, including the Senior Breakfast following graduation practice, Senior Sunset, After Grad, and, of course, the graduation ceremony itself. We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and all they have accomplished.

As we celebrate our graduates, we also want to encourage our underclassmen to finish the school year strong. This is an important time to remain focused, continue demonstrating your commitment to learning, and take pride in your progress as you prepare for the opportunities that lie ahead.

Important Updates to PWCS Apps

As a reminder, several apps that many PWCS families rely on are getting important updates. The provider of the ParentVUE and StudentVUE apps has released new versions of these apps, and the current versions will no longer be supported after June 30. In addition, the EZ A2B bus tracking app is transitioning to EZArrival. To ensure continued access to grades, attendance, and transportation information—especially during summer school and the 2026–27 school year—families should take a moment to download the updated ParentVUE app and StudentVUE app, and transition to the new EZArrival app

Medication Pick Up

Lost and Found

The Gainesville High School lost and found has an impressive collection of sweatshirts, book bags and water bottles. If your student has lost any items, they can come by the main office to search the lost and found. Items not picked up by Friday, June 12 will be donated to a local organization.

Student Parking Passes for 26-27 School Year

Student Parking Passes for the 2026-2027 school year will go on sale for rising Seniors starting on June 2, 2026. Details are as follows:

Parking permits will be sold during all lunch periods during the school day on June 4 and 5.

Additional purchase dates will be announced soon. Purchase dates for rising Juniors and all other student drivers will begin in July.

All student drivers will be assigned a specific parking space for the school year. Students will be able to select their parking space from a map of available spaces when they turn in their application and payment. Parking spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students purchasing parking permits need to bring the following items with them:

A completed parking permit application. Copies of the application form are available in the main office or can be downloaded at this link. Applications need to be completely filled out, to include parent signatures and vehicle license plate information.

Payment for $100 in cash or check made payable to Gainesville High School. There will also be an online payment option on the school's Go Fan page starting on May 25, 2026. Students that pay online in advance should bring a screenshot or confirmation code when they submit their application.

Students must bring their driver's license with them. The yellow temporary driver's license with their learner's permit is acceptable. By state law, students must be licensed drivers (not learner's permit holders) to purchase a high school parking permit.

Rising seniors will have the opportunity to paint their parking spaces for the school year for a separate fee. More information will be announced over the summer about parking space painting. Rising Seniors must purchase their 2026-27 parking permit and be assigned a parking space first before they will be able to apply to paint their parking space.

Please contact Safety and Security Officer Michael Wall at wallml@pwcs.edu if you have any questions about student parking at Gainesville High School.
