We graduated 507 seniors on Wednesday, May 20th at Red Rocks. It was an amazing evening and we are very proud of our Golden Eagle Class of 2026.
Due to the conflicting CHSAA State Soccer Championship Wednesday evening, three of our seniors Hannah Carlson, Brooke Moody, Keira Woody (pictured below) attended a special ceremony Wednesday morning to celebrate their accomplishments.

2026-2027 MVHS Regular Bell Schedule
Please take a look at our bell schedule for the 26-27 school year. While our schedule continues to be similar, we have made a few slight changes to better accommodate the following:
- Every DCSD school will be starting 45 minutes late on Fridays to provide staff with time to meet in Professional Learning Communities. While Mountain Vista has always valued this time for our teachers, the move to Friday was to create consistency amongst our neighboring schools.
- We are shifting both our morning and afternoon bells five minutes later to provide a slightly increased stagger with the start time for MRMS. We hope this alleviates traffic congestion for the morning and afternoon commutes. MRMS is moving their start times five minutes earlier.

We have an incredible team of teachers ready to support our students and help them earn these recovery credits back!
Your 3 Summer School Options
To fit different learning styles and schedules, we are offering three distinct pathways this summer. Please review the details below to see which option fits your student's needs:
1. In-Person (Replacement Grade): Housed at ThunderRidge High School Algebra I & English (June Only)
Next Steps:2. Online (Credit Recovery Only): Virtual (Edgenuity platform), Wide variety of courses,
Up to 4 courses this summer (June or July)3. Online (Replacement Grade): Virtual (eDCSD) (June or July)
Because choosing the right format (In-Person vs. Online) and understanding grade replacement can be tricky, please consult with your student's school counselor before registering. They will help you select the absolute best path forward.

DCSD Board of Education Passes Communication Device Policy
On Apil 21st, the DCSD Board of Education approved policy JICJA: Student Use of Communication Devices in School. The policy can be found HERE. At Mountain Vista, we have been anticipating this policy and have been working alongside our district to determine what this looks like for our student body and staff. We will be communicating more details prior to the start of the 26-27 school year so everyone is on the same page and knows what to expect when they return.

BIKE PARK ON VISTA PROPERTY SHUTTING DOWN
Over the past couple of years, an unsanctioned bike park has been created in the southwest corner of the Mountain Vista property. Due to vandalism, safety issues and liability concerns, this park will no longer be an option for our bike community. It will be repurposed as early as June. The space will be restored and resurfaced to it's original condition.
