Warm Greetings Prussing Parents, Staff and Community,
Please read through the following to stay up to date with events at our school.
🥰Valentine's Day🥰
As Valentine's Day approaches, please keep in mind that we have a no food/no snack policy. Instead of snacks and candy, students can pass out stickers, pencils, fidgets, and other little toys from the dollar store. Please contact your child's teacher and ask about celebrations and activities in the classroom. Again, if you are free to come in, please make sure that you are an approved volunteer. You can click the button at the end of this letter and then be sure to check with Mrs. Norman in the office.

MIDDLE SCHOOL DANCE
Dear Prussing Families,
We’re excited to announce our upcoming Middle School Dance on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the school cafeteria! We could use your support to make it a memorable event for our students.
We are looking for parent volunteers to assist with:
Monitoring: Helping to supervise and ensure a safe, enjoyable environment.
Dismissal: Assisting with an organized and smooth pick-up process at the end of the night.
Clean-Up: Helping us tidy up the cafeteria after the dance.
We ask that volunteers arrive around 5:00/5:15 PM to help us with setup. And here’s a fun bonus—Ms. Arnowitz will be our DJ, spinning tunes to keep the energy high and the dance floor packed!
If you’re available to volunteer, please sign up using the Sign Up Genius link. Your support will play a huge role in creating a fun, safe, and unforgettable evening for our middle schoolers.
Thank you in advance for your help. We can’t wait to see you there!
Best regards,
Ms. Ahern & Ms. Loy

SAVE THE DATE - Taft High School Open House
Hello Students & Families,
Taft High School will be hosting an Open House Event on Tuesday, February 25th, a CPS Student Non-Attendance Day. The event will provide our current 7th and 8th grade students with an opportunity to connect with Taft teachers, explore course offerings, and tour the building. Some families may have missed the Fall Open House Events, and this is a great opportunity for them to get to see the building before GOCPS offers are made.
Please use the following registration form to sign up for a time slot at 9AM, 10AM, or 11AM. Students and families can expect to be provided with a campus tour that highlights course offerings in different subject areas, explore extracurricular offerings, and ask any questions they may have.
If you have any specific event questions, please reach out to:

Admissions Director Carmen White @ CRWhite9@cps.edu

Subject: MARQUE SU CALENDARIO - Invitación abierta de Taft High School
Estimados estudiantes y familias,
