Rattler Shout-Out

A huge shout-out to our RISE students for taking the initiative to bring the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to life through Leader in Me! By creating a video that highlights these important habits, our students demonstrated leadership, creativity, and a commitment to inspiring others. We are proud of them for putting these principles into action and serving as positive role models for our Rattler community. Keep leading, keep growing, and keep showing us what it means to be a Rattler leader!

The Fall 2026 Student Survey Open, we want to hear from you!

Students in grades 3–12 with parent/guardian consent will complete the survey during the school day.

Please help your scholar attend school each day and arrive on time. Consistent attendance keeps students connected to learning and ensures participating students have the opportunity to share feedback about safety, belonging, relationships, and wellbeing. Every scholar’s presence matters, and student voice helps us build stronger school experiences.

October is Bullying Prevention Month!

Rattlers, let’s work together to create a school community where everyone feels safe, respected, and included! Bullying prevention starts with each of us. A kind word, standing up for others, including someone who feels left out, or speaking up when we see bullying can make a meaningful difference.

This month and every month, let’s remember to:
💛 Be kind and respectful.
💙 Include others and celebrate our differences.
💛 Speak up when we see bullying.
💙 Support one another and ask a trusted adult for help when needed.

Together, we can make IDEA Rundberg a place where every Rattler feels valued and supported.

Student Self-Care Reminder: Healthy Habits Matter!

As we kick off a new school year, we want to remind our Rattler families that self-care is an important part of student success! A healthy routine can help students feel more focused, energized, and ready to learn each day.

We encourage students to:

  • Get a full night of sleep each night to help their minds and bodies recharge.
  • Limit caffeine and energy drinks, especially later in the day, as they can interfere with sleep and overall well-being.
  • Stay hydrated and make healthy choices whenever possible.
  • Take time to rest and recharge when feeling overwhelmed.
  • Talk to a trusted adult when they are feeling stressed or need support.

Cell Phone and Personal Communication Device Policy/Política de Teléfonos Celulares y Dispositivos de Comunicación Personal

Cell Phone and Personal Communication Devices (PCD) must be turned off and placed in a backpack before entering the school building.
PCD include cell phones, flip phones, personal tablets, smartwatches, radios, pagers, and other personal electronic devices capable of communication.

A device is considered “in use” if it is in a student’s possession, powered on, and capable of sending or receiving communication, even if the student is not actively using it.

Take a moment to review the information below so you and your student are familiar with this year’s PCD expectations.
