Dear Wales Families,

Today was our annual third-grade picnic. The picnic is a part of the transition plan for moving to the II next year. Elma, Marilla, and Wales students had the chance to interact with each other during fun games and races. It was a perfect day for the picnic! A huge thank you to all our parent volunteers- without your help, we would not be able to have these wonderful events for our children.

This week, our first graders entertained us with their musical talents in their performance of "Chicken Soup with Rice." Way to go, first grade!

A reminder to all parents that cell phones and all other cell devices are not permitted to be used during the school day. Parents are highly encouraged not to send their child in with these devices. This includes smart watches with texting and internet accessibility. If your child has a watch or device that they bring/wear to school, please be sure it's turned off during the day or in airplane mode.

UPK parents will receive a report home with their child today with the results from the Kindergarten screening. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Mrs. Morrison.

News from our SRO

Please be advised that on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, beginning at approximately 1:15 PM, Iroquois High School will be conducting a Senior PROM Assembly and emergency response simulation as part of an educational safety presentation for students.

Community members may observe an increased presence of emergency personnel and vehicles in the area, including Elma & Jamison Road Fire Department apparatus and a scheduled landing by Mercy Flight on the north end of the school campus.

This is only a planned drill and educational demonstration. There is no active emergency or threat to the community.

We appreciate the continued support of our local emergency responders and thank the community for its understanding. Thank you to Wilbert’s U-Pull It of Buffalo, located on Pound Road in Elma for the generous donation of two vehicles for the demonstration.
