Check out what has been going on at HMS this week.

• Mrs. MacArthur held a "book tasting" for a couple of Grade 6 ELA classes. Students were encouraged to "taste" different genres they might not typically choose to broaden their horizons.

• Our Mandarin classes were fortunate to invite Hopkinton Chinese American Association (HCAA) to offer a Dragon dance demo to our students during Chinese class to bring a more authentic experience in learning the language and celebrating the Lunar New Year. Students from Chinese class learned about the origin and history of the Dragon dance together with other Lunar new year celebration words. They were able to apply their knowledge of the language to interact with the dance instructors and to wish them happy year of the rabbit during the demo.

Where: High School Athletic Center

What: Parents and guardians will have a chance to hear from administrators, students, and subject matter leaders about the high school experience.
