Cohort Update "Embrace" -2022-
"History in the Making" (1/11/21)
- Embrace -
Team, we are eleven days into the new year and still holding strong. Despite all of the chaos that surrounds each of us in this unpredictable world, you have made the choice to EMBRACE the obstacles in front of you and forge forward. As I reviewed the message from our Superintendent Dr. Hanson, it really made me reflect on my methods and how I go about my daily business. He spoke about maintaining control over the things that we can indeed control. For me, I like to ensure everyone around me is healthy, happy and moving towards their personal best. It consumes me and I try my best to pass that passion along to each of you by example, conversations, social interactions and through written language. What I've come to realize is that I cannot control what each of you do for the majority of the day or for the rest of your lives, but what I can do is EMBRACE the time that we have together and demonstrate to each of you how much you are loved...how valuable you are to the Warrior Nation...and how special you are to your Eastside community. Team, I challenge each of you to also EMBRACE each and every moment that you have the opportunity excel and put your best foot forward. Not only will you be making use of the opportunities given to you, but the positive shadow that you will be casting just may be the reflection someone else needs to put themselves on the right path. Have a great week everyone and EMBRACE every moment!!!!
Much Love,
Mr. Russell - Cohort Dean
