Mustang Memo
November 2026
Here's What's Happening at East Meadows
October is all wrapped up and we are heading into the holiday season!
Thanks to those who came out for our Halloween Parade last week! We appreciate the community support and feel so grateful that the rain waited for us to finish before pouring down.
As the weather turns cold, we want to remind parents about our Cold Weather Policy. We have our Thanksgiving celebration coming up with our Gobble Off and Turkey Trot happening the week of Thanksgiving. Check out the newsletter for ALL the details about what's coming up this month.
Please continue to make sure your students arrive at school on time each day so they can earn their daily attendance buck. We have fun items to purchase or events to attend that your child won't want to miss! Checkout our attendance stats below.
During this Thanksgiving season, we want parents to know how grateful we are for your amazing children who are kind, hardworking and respectful. Our entire staff is beyond THANKFUL for our wonderful kids, parents and school community.

Hot dogs or chicken sandwiches will be served and students can choose BYU BLUE (Cool Ranch) or U of U RED (Nacho Cheese) Doritos to cast their vote for which team will win! Remember: Label coats, jackets and other clothing items with your child's name.
Turkey Trot & Gobble Off
Warm up those gobblers!
On November 23rd & 24th as we lead up to Thanksgiving break, we will continue with our annual Turkey Trot and Gobble Off Contest. The Turkey Trot will take place during lunch recess on both days. Students will earn points for each lap they run and will be entered in a drawing for fun prizes to be distributed during our Gobble Off Assembly.
Each class will hold a gobbling contest and send a representative to compete in a school-wide Gobble Off on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM. Winners will receive festive Thanksgiving prizes.
