Reminders from TMS

Dear TMS Families,

We are absolutely loving these first ten days with your middle schoolers! Their energy, curiosity, and excitement have made for a fantastic start. From learning new routines to diving into classroom activities—and even celebrating early successes like cross country meets—our students are already showing how ready they are to grow and shine this year. Thank you for sharing them with us!

• Community Safety Night : Wednesday, September 10, 2025, 6:00–7:00 p.m.. at TMS

• PTA Meeting: Wednesday, 9/10/25 @ 7 PM in TMS LMC
• MAP TESTING: Wednesday, 9/10/25 *Modified Daily Schedule

• 7th & 8th Grade Families: Tonight, 9/4/25 is the 7th & 8th Grade Curriculum Night: Please join us at 5:35 PM for the Administrator Welcome. Students schedules will be given out in Advisory/PACK (formerly known as Homeroom) which is the first class period that you'll attend tonight at 6:05 PM. Open communication helps us work together to best support our students, and we are truly grateful for the partnership we share with our families. Mark your calendars, fall MAP testing:

• Testing will occur on Wednesday, 9/10.

• Students will report directly to Advisory upon arrival.

• TMS will run modified daily schedules on these testing days with testing occurring during an extended Advisory time and shortened classes during the day.

• Please mark your calendars on these dates to ensure students get 8-10 hours of sleep the night before testing and that students eat breakfast the morning of testing.

We’re excited to host a Community Safety Night at Thomas Middle School on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, 6:00–7:00 p.m..

This event will focus on electronic bike and scooter safety, including local ordinances and expectations on school property. We’ll also highlight drop-off/pick-up routines and before- and after-school expectations. It’s a great opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect. More details coming soon!

The TMS PTA has a lot to offer this year! We are excited for all the activities we have planned!
