Principal's Message
Dear Maple Glen Families,
It’s hard to believe fall break is already here! We’ve had such a great start to the school year—our students are learning, growing, and showing so much enthusiasm each day. Thank you for your continued support at home; it truly makes a difference.
Teachers are sending out times for parent/teacher conferences. Our goal is to meet with every family to discuss your child’s growth and progress. We hope you’re able to find a convenient time on the schedule provided. If not, please reach out directly to your child’s teacher.
We hope you enjoy a well-deserved fall break with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for more learning and fun!
Warmly,
Tiffany Buzan
171st/Ditch Closure - STILL CLOSED....
Just a friendly reminder that all cars should enter into Maple Glen from 169th/171st street. The bus lot is NOT a thorough fare to drop off students. Thank you for your flexibility.
Student of the Month
Congratulations to Riley Meehan for being our October student of the month. Riley is a student in Mrs. Riggle's 4th grade class. Riley was honored at this week's school board meeting for his perseverance and hard work. We are so proud of Riley!
ROCKSTRONG Award
Every month the WWS school board in collaboration with Everwise honors staff members across the district who go above and beyond for our school community. Maple Glen's ROCKSTRONG staff member this month was the one and only, the best PE teacher in the land - Mr. Pribbeno. Matt Pribbeno has been a teacher for 19 years, 16 of those at Maple Glen. Not only does he bring and fun and fitness to his classes, he also helps throughout the school in many different ways! Mr. P is definitely ROCKSTRONG and we are so lucky to have him here at Maple Glen.
Do you know a staff member who should be recognized for their work? Nominate them by clicking the button below! Each quarter, all schools and operations will review nominations from staff, students, families and the community and select someone who represents its values and culture to receive the Rock Strong Award and a special gift.

Talking Points
Westfield Washington Schools usesTalkingPoints to communicate with families! TalkingPoints allows for seamless multilingual two-way communication between teachers and families. Families can choose to receive messages via SMS text messaging or through the free FAMILIES | TalkingPoints mobile app for Apple or Android.
This platform has enhanced translation capabilities, so families can receive and send messages in their preferred language. Additional tools like speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and closed captioned videos make this program accessible to all of our Westfield families.
The most important thing you can do to ensure you are receiving messages from your child’s teacher is to make sure your contact information for the “Father” and “Mother” fields in PowerSchool is correct. When a teacher sends out a message, TalkingPoints will automatically use those two phone numbers. If you’d like to add additional contacts, please reach out to your child’s teachers.
