Updates and Reminders
Dear JBC Families,
As we embrace the winter season, we have several important updates and reminders to share with you:
Outdoor Play Policy
According to the Nova Scotia Provincial Policy on Outdoor Play, children remain indoors when the temperature falls below -25°C (-13°F), with or without a wind chill factor, or when the wind chill factor is -28°C (-18.4°F) or lower, regardless of the temperature. At JBC, we adhere to a threshold of -15°C (5°F) with the wind chill for outdoor activities. Please ensure your children are dressed appropriately for the weather, including warm coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and suitable footwear, to keep them comfortable and dry during outdoor playtimes.
Drop off Time:
- Students should be dropped off no earlier than 8:10 AM each morning. Please see the image for the drop-off procedure.
- All visitors to JBC must report to the office.
