Rawhitiroa School Newsletter
Monday 7th September - Term 3 Week 8
Tumuaki Pānui
Kia ora koutou
What a couple of weeks it has been. First with Kapa Haka and then with cross country.
Although unfortunately I was away sick for Kapa Haka and couldn't attend in person, Mrs Edwards kept me updated throughout the day with video's of the students. From our few students who performed with the Wonder Kids ECE, to Olive's faultless school pepeha, to the whole school performance, I was extremely proud of our students. The confidence they exuded was apparent and made their performance surely strong. Thank you to everyone who helped with transport for this event.
Last week was of course cross country with approximately 300 students running across the events. The behaviour of our students was fantastic and 60% of them make it in the top 10 for their event. Volunteers and helpers for this event are too many to name, but a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this day.
Late last month we welcomed Charlie & his family to Rawhitiroa School. Charlie is in Pīwakawaka Class. We hope you enjoy your time here at our school.
Attached to this newsletter is advice on when to keep your children home when sick and when to send them to school. I hope you find it helpful.
Have a great week.
