Week of May 19-23
A Message from Mrs. Ushery
Greetings Wynbrooke Family,
We had another great week at Wynbrooke! From 5th Grade Week to Field Day to Honors Day, our scholars truly shined. Congratulations to all of our students for their hard work throughout the semester and the entire school year.
A special shout-out to our amazing counselors, Ms. Blow and Dr. Mullins, along with our music teacher, Mr. Brown, for organizing memorable Honors Day celebrations. Your efforts made the event extra special for our students and families.
πΉ Attendance Reminder:
We need your support in ensuring your child arrives at school on time. Students can be dropped off between 7:00 - 7:45 AM and are considered tardy at 7:46 AM. To help ease morning traffic, we encourage families to arrive early.
πΉ Morning Car Rider Drop-Off Reminder:
Morning car rider drop-off ends at 7:45 AM. If you arrive after this time, you must park and walk your child inside to sign them in for school. Let's work together to ensure our scholars start their day on time and ready to succeed!
πΉ Parent Volunteer Hours:
We are closing out the school year with only a few volunteer opportunities left! if you have not completed your required 16 parent volunteer hours, please sign up for volunteer opportunities below! The last day for parents to volunteer to receive hours is Friday, May 23rd.

Greetings Wynbrooke Families!
By now each family that have NOT completed their volunteer hours should have received an email from me letting you know how many hours have been completed and other options to get your hours satisfied before the deadline. Remember you are required to complete 8 volunteer hours for each semester for a total of 16 to be completed on or before May 16, 2025. That is the absolute last day to complete your hours. For every $10 that is spent, you will earn 1 volunteer hour, or the time spent assisting during school events can also count towards your hours. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email me at Jaumekia_M_Caver@dekalbschoolsga.org
Thank you again for all you do to support our school it is very much appreciated!

Media Center Updates
From the desk of Ms. Jelks, Media Specialist
Dear Parents,
Reading opens the door to new worlds, sparks creativity, and keeps our minds engaged even while we rest. We encourage all students to make reading a daily habit and take advantage of the wonderful opportunities available through Beanstack!
Students, we invite you to track your reading on Beanstack to stay motivated and monitor your progress over time. By logging in through Clever, you can record the books you read each day, participate in monthly reading challenges, and even earn badges and rewards! We encourage students of all grade levels to read independently for at least 20 minutes each day.
Parents, you play a vital role in fostering a love for reading. You can support your childβs reading journey by setting aside dedicated reading time, engaging in discussions about books, or making visits to your local library a part of your routine.
We look forward to hearing about the amazing books your children discover!
Happy Reading!
Ms. Ashlee Jelks
