Title 1 Parent Notifications
Pauba Valley Elementary School 2024-2025
Dear Pilot Families and Guardians,
Your child is attending a school receiving Title I federal funds through the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). At the beginning of each school year, local educational agencies receiving Title I funds are required to notify parents whose student(s) attend a Title I school that they may request, and the agency will provide the parents on request (and in a timely manner), information regarding the professional qualifications of the student’s classroom teachers, including at a minimum:
1. Whether the student’s teacher:
· Has met State qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction;
· Is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which State qualification or licensing criteria have been waived; and
· Is teaching in the field of discipline of the certification of the teacher.
2. Whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
If you would like this information, please contact Temecula Unified School District at (951)676-2661.
Sincerely,
Michelle Gosnell (Principal)

The Benefits of Title 1
There are incredible benefits for Pauba Valley students through Title 1 funding. In partnership with our site's School Site Council, Title 1 funds have been used in many ways to benefit our students, including the following:
- Additional Tier 2 Behavior Support Specialist (our site has TWO)
- Two intervention assistants to support weekly academic intervention and enrichment in all grade levels
- Additional supplemental curriculum supports (educational apps, supplemental curriculum)
- Additional technology aides and equipment for students
- Enrichment hands-on experiences and assemblies
These are just a few examples of the many ways the additional Title 1 funds benefit our students at Pauba Valley. Not all campuses in Temecula receive Title 1 funds, so read on below to learn how Pauba Valley is identified as a Title 1 school.
Title 1 Eligibility
Much of Title 1 federal funding is determined based on the number of applicants for free or reduced lunch. We have had many wonderful programs and resources provided to students that would simply not be possible without Title 1 funds, which in the past two years, have increased our school budget significantly. This year this information is collected during the Annual Family Update. It is vitally important that all families complete the family update to ensure we maximize funding for our site.
