Patriot Family Gazette 10/14/2022

Patriot Nation,

What a great first nine week's of school at Jack! We are so proud to finish up the nine week's and look forward to a busy end of October. Next week we will be celebrating accomplishments at our First Nine Week's Legacy Leadership Assembly on October 21st. We also have spirit night on the 18th at Chuys, and fall pictures on Wednesday the 19th. And don't forget about our annual Jack Jubilee coming up on October 28th. PTA is currently organizing this event and taking candy donations. What a great way to end the month of October as fall temperatures are coming in. Have a great 3 day weekend and we will see you on Monday!

We look forward to a great week!

- Please drop off by 7:50. Our tardy bell rings at that time and we want our Patriots ready to learn with us.

- We cannot release kids after 2:45 due to dismissal procedures. If you have appointments, please make arrangements to pick up by this time.

- If you are dropping off before 7:15, please use the back loop. This area is staffed and students are directed to the cafe or gym. After 7:15, our front loop will be open.

This year Jack is participating in the Get Your Teach On Rock Your School Event. For the past 4 years ROCK YOUR SCHOOL has been a day where educators from across the world come together in community to engage learners. Everything from classroom guest speakers to room and hallway transformations, this is our opportunity to provide our students with a fun and engaging day of learning, with a little style. We look forward to a great day!

We have spent the past weeks learning about the 7 Habits here at Jack. Our Leaders in the classroom start their day every morning with a quick meeting, and it is centered around our 7 Habits. Our KJAC crew highlights a habit each week, and we continually stress the importance of using the habits daily. Coming soon we will be providing an at-home connection from our wonderful counselor Mrs. Boyd. This is a tool that you can use at home, to make that connection to our Patriots. That is a Win-Win for all of us!

We already have over 300+ members of our PTA! Please consider joining today! Join at http://2022-2023-pta-membership-90992.cheddarup.com today! You can get a star on the wall!

Below you will find the link to our handbook for our families. This will also be posted on our website. Please keep in mind that this handbook is a general guideline for our campus, and we also follow the TISD handbook for district guidelines.
