Stonehurst Hills Weekly, 9/16
Good evening, Stonehurst Hills families:
First, we would like to thank all of the parents and families who came out for Back to School Night. We truly appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedules to meet with your child's teacher, learn more about their school day, and discuss ways we can work together to support your child. Your partnership is an important part of our students' success, and we are grateful for your continued support.
As we finish up our third week of school, our students have been working hard to learn and practice various classroom and schoolwide procedures that will help them have a successful year. Establishing these routines early helps our students understand expectations and feel confident as they navigate their school day.
Over the past two weeks, our students have also been completing various benchmark assessments. These assessments provide our teachers with valuable information about where our students are academically, including their strengths and areas where they may need additional support.
This information will prove extremely useful as our teachers plan lessons, differentiate instruction, and provide targeted support throughout the school year. Our goal is to use this information to make informed instructional decisions and ensure that we are meeting the individual needs of every student.
Thank you again for your partnership and for helping us make Stonehurst Hills a safe, caring, and nurturing learning environment for all of our students!
Warm regards,
Mr. Chisholm
Principal
Stonehurst Hills Elementary School

Bullying Policy
At Stonehurst Hills Elementary, we take bullying seriously and are committed to providing a safe, caring, and nurturing learning environment for all students.
Our district has a bullying policy that outlines how concerns involving bullying are addressed and the steps we take to support the students involved. Attendance Awareness Month Message
September is Attendance Awareness Month!
Every school day matters. Regular attendance helps students stay connected to their teachers, classmates, and learning, while also building the habits they need for success in school and beyond. Establishing consistent morning and evening routines, planning ahead for appointments, and communicating with your child’s school when challenges arise can make a meaningful difference in student attendance.
Together, we can help every student be present, engaged, and ready to learn—because every day counts!
