"WHEN YOU HAVE EXHAUSTED ALL POSSIBILITIES, REMEMBER THIS: YOU HAVEN’T.”

- Thomas Edison

Good Afternoon, CUSD,

Welcome back from spring recess. As we gear up for the last couple months of school there are many activities and events celebrating and recognizing our students and their achievements. Please make sure to read your weekly school newsletters to make sure you don’t miss anything!

All of our campuses are bursting with purple this month as we “Purple Up” for our monthlong celebration of the Month of the Military Child - always a highlight of the year in CUSD. Each school has planned a variety of fun recognitions and next Thursday the Governing Board will highlight our military students and families.

Also at next Thursday’s board meeting, we will celebrate our Teachers of the Year. Congratulations to Katie Quinly (CUSD), Michelle Walker (CHS), Ramona Loiselle (CMS), Ashlee Phair (Village), and Lisa Kinzel (Silver Strand). These amazing educators embrace our motto of Every Child, Every Day. They go above and beyond to meet students where they are, create environments where students can grow emotionally and academically, and support their colleagues in serving our students.

Our CoSA students are busy preparing for the production of Disney’s Freaky Friday. This fun, upbeat, family-friendly musical opens next Friday, April 17. See flyer below for details, click here for tickets.

Have a great weekend,

Respectfully,

Karl J. Mueller

As our educators, parents, and community come together to connect, challenge, and champion our students, we are humbled by the outpouring of compliments. What a positive testament to our CUSD family!

Click here to recognize an employee or volunteer who goes above and beyond to make a difference. Those who are "caught" will receive a copy of the positive words that were shared about them and a "Caught Being Awesome" decal. Please take a minute or two to brighten someone else's day!
