Superintendent Update: September

Good morning Lebanon School District Community,
I hope you had a relaxing long weekend and Labor Day. The 2025–2026 school year is officially underway! In just four short days, our classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds have come alive with the joy and energy of learning. Today, we welcome our youngest learners as Pre-K begins—marking their very first step in their educational journey in our district.
One of my favorite parts of last week was feeling the energy across all of our back-to-school events. From 9th Grade and New Student Orientation at the High School, to popsicles at the Middle School, to Kindergarten Kickoffs at Hanover Street and Mount Lebanon, it was wonderful to see so many families connecting with teachers, classmates, and each other.
Here’s to a year of curiosity, connection, and growth for every student.
In partnership,
Amy Allen

Student Shoutout: Student Voices Shine at District- Back-to-School Breakfast
Celebrating critical & creative thinkers, local and global citizens, and demonstrated empathy & resilience
Four student speakers helped kick off our All-District Back-to-School Breakfast with energy, insight, and school pride.
-
Helena (12th grade) shared a powerful perspective on learning, perseverance, and the importance of an empathetic community as she enters her senior year at Lebanon High School.
-
McKenzie (4th grade) reminded us all why Hanover Street School is such a special place—complete with fun activities, new learning, and even a mic drop!
-
Elise (6th grade) shared a creative video she made with her dad to help elementary students prepare for the leap to Lebanon Middle School. Watch Elise's video here!
-
Amelia (2nd grade) charmed the crowd with her love for Mount Lebanon School—especially the special days like Halloween, birthday books from the vending machine, and, of course, strawberry milk day!
Their voices reminded us of what makes our schools so special: a community where every learner has something different and important to share. Thank you Helena, McKenzie, Elise, and Amelia!
Lebanon High School Ranks #2 in New Hampshire!
We’re proud to share that Lebanon High School has been ranked the #2 high school in New Hampshire by U.S. News & World Report! This recognition reflects the strength of our students, families, teachers, and community working together to create exceptional learning experiences.
This honor also connects directly to our district’s Strategic Plan, which emphasizes academic excellence, vibrant learning communities, and preparing every student for success beyond graduation. Rankings like this are one way to see our plan in action—but what matters most is the daily growth, opportunities, and support we provide for every learner.
