Hornet Families,

We are only two short weeks away from the first day of the 2025-26 school year and we hope that our students are as excited to come back to school as we are. In this Back-to-School edition of the Hermosa School Family Newsletter you will find some updated information about the staggered start for preschool through kindergarten for the first week of school, important dates for the start of the year, and a great opportunity for all parents and guardians of CSD to learn about digital safety for their children from local expert Hollie Strand.

A couple more reminders for the new school year:

• All students who plan on participating in school sanctioned sports will need a physical before they can practice or compete. Monument Health offers free sports physicals.
• New students can be registered in the school office with Mrs. Conley beginning August 11th from 8:00-3:00. The office is open Monday-Thursday. Paperwork can be dropped off in the vestibule during non-office hours Monday-Friday 7:00-4:00.
• Students lunch accounts can have funds added to them online or in person at the school office.

Monument Health is proud to offer free sports physicals for student-athletes across our markets. These physicals are a convenient way to ensure young athletes are healthy and ready for the upcoming season, meeting all state and school activity requirements. Check the list below for dates, times and locations near you. Physical forms can be picked up at Hermosa School in the main entrance vestibule open Monday-Friday 7AM-4PM.
