The Hub OC has been a very vital partner to our community, and we are thankful for the opportunity to support the opening of their new family resource center. It was a true honor to see the success stories they have already had with what little tools in their belt. With this resource center opening they hope to increase the number of families they can help with day-to-day task such as laundry and a place to shower.

The Hub OC ha sido un socio fundamental para nuestra comunidad, y estamos muy agradecidos por la oportunidad de apoyar la inauguración de su nuevo centro de recursos familiares. Ha sido un verdadero honor ser testigos de los logros que ya han conseguido con los escasos medios de que disponen. Con la apertura de este centro de recursos, esperan poder ayudar a un mayor número de familias en tareas cotidianas como lavar la ropa y disponer de un lugar donde ducharse.

Every year we have the wonderful opportunity to partner with OC GRIP where they task the students to create a box of dreams for what their future may look like. The students get really into this project because they can really picture the future for themselves. The amount of support for each student presenting from their peers is always a fun sight to see.

Cada año tenemos la maravillosa oportunidad de colaborar con OC GRIP, que propone a los alumnos crear una caja de los sueños en la que plasmen cómo imaginan su futuro. A los alumnos les encanta este proyecto porque les permite visualizar realmente cómo será su futuro. Siempre es un placer ver el apoyo que reciben los alumnos que hacen sus presentaciones por parte de sus compañeros.

As a special surprise to the students, we invited a couple canine officers to showcase how truly amazing they are. The students were amazed with trust they have in their partners, hearing directly from the officers really helped paint that image of what the future could hold for them if they truly want to achieve their dreams. This partnership has helped the youth build essential life skills such as communication, confidence, teamwork, and decision-making. Over these last few years partnered with GRIP we have noticed an increase in trust and support in the community.

Como sorpresa especial para los alumnos, invitamos a un par de agentes con perros policía para que mostraran lo increíbles que son. Los alumnos quedaron impresionados por la confianza que estos agentes tienen en sus compañeros; escucharles directamente les ayudó mucho a hacerse una idea de lo que el futuro podría depararles si realmente quieren alcanzar sus sueños. Esta colaboración ha ayudado a los jóvenes a desarrollar habilidades esenciales para la vida, como la comunicación, la confianza, el trabajo en equipo y la toma de decisiones. En estos últimos años de colaboración con GRIP, hemos observado un aumento de la confianza y el apoyo en la comunidad.

To prepare the students for state testing next week we had a pep rally to motivate them and to surprise everyone we had a BMX showcase their amazing talent. Students got to hear them speak about how to accomplish what they want in life, and it starts with your education. One of the final tricks the students voted who they would want to see the bikers jump over and our principal was chosen.

Para preparar a los alumnos para los exámenes estatales de la próxima semana, organizamos una fiesta de animación con el fin de motivarlos y, para sorprender a todos, contamos con una exhibición de BMX en la que los ciclistas mostraron su increíble talento. Los alumnos pudieron escucharles hablar sobre cómo lograr lo que se propongan en la vida, y cómo todo empieza por la educación. En uno de los últimos trucos, los alumnos votaron a quién querían que los ciclistas saltaran por encima, y el elegido fue nuestro director.
