This report is required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency. It is to be sent to the parent or guardian of every child enrolled in a Texas public school. The report provides information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures.
State law requires that the School Report Card display information about the state, the district, and the school. Where possible, the information must be reported by race/ethnicity and socioeconomic status of the students and must include at least two years of results.

Transcripts
All seniors need to review and verify the information on their transcripts on SchooLinks or Home Access Center. When reviewing the information, seniors should be looking to make sure that they have received credit for the classes they've taken during their high school career, and should be looking out for any discrepancies. Should a senior have questions about the information on their transcript, their questions should be directed to their counselor via email.
Attendance Denial of Credit (No Grade Policy/NGs)
SUPER IMPORTANT: Course credits WILL be denied if a student has excessive absences--whether excused, unexcused, or medical does not matter. Students who have excessive absences should be in contact with Mrs. Zuniga, Attendance Clerk, and Ms. Sheffield, AP over Attendance. Correction to Last Month's "Employee of the Month"
It has come to our attention that the description for last month's Employee of the Month, Megan Navarro was incorrect and for this we sincerely apologize. Please find the corrected version below:
Megan is very quiet and is sometimes reluctant to participate in class activities. This month she stepped out of her comfort zone to interact with her peers because it was required of her to do so in order to advance in her program of study. Megan went against her nature of not wanting to interact with others to perform all practice and all required EKGs needed for her to sit for the EKG Certification exam. She improved her skill and bedside manner with each EKG she did. With her hard work, persistence, and skill, Megan passed her EKG Certification exam!
~Nominated by Ms. Crull, January 2022
Staff Spotlight
Dr. Browne will officially graduate with her Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership at Sam Houston State University at the end of the semester. We are so very proud of her and we are grateful to have her working with our students!
Attendance Office Reminders & Updates
Attendance Denial of Credit (ADoC)
While we understand that many students have been absent due to circumstances beyond their control, the law does still require that all students attend school at least 90% of the time in order to be eligible to receive credit for their classes. As such, please help us to ensure that you student attends school on-time, every day.
- When your student is absent, ensure that a note is turned into the attendance office within 3 days of returning back to school.
- Make a habit of checking your student's attendance records in Home Access Center. Should there be discrepancies, have your student reach out to the teacher for the class where the absence occurred.
- If contacted regarding "Attendance Denial of Credit" ensure that all requested paperwork and make-up hours are recorded and turned into Ms. Sheffield, Assistant Principal over attendance as soon as possible.

All parents/guardians must have an official form of documentation to pick up a student
cut off time and also on early dismissal day we will not be pulling students out of class for early pick up.
Covid Related Illnesses
Dear Jaguars and Jaguar Parents/Caregivers
While we hope that you stay safe and healthy, in the event that you are sick/ill, this is a reminder that you need to stay home--regardless of if the illness is COVID related or not.
In the event that you think that you might have COVID and you are awaiting a COVID test result, you will need to stay home until the results come in. Once the results come in, regardless of if your test result is positive or negative, the very first thing that you need to do is to contact the nurse so she can advise you on next steps. AGAIN, you must contact the nurse PRIOR to returning to school, even if you have a negative test result.
Nurse Sabrina Moye-Roach

As a proactive measure to help you keep up with school work, you may want to consider reaching out to your teachers and let them know what's going on. This way they can communicate with you about classwork and assignments.
Many students are concerned about being marked absent when they are at home sick. Please note that anytime you are not physically at school, you have to be marked absent and once you are marked absent an automatic dialer will contact your parents. There is nothing that can be done about preventing the calls that go out. Just know that once you are allowed to return to school, submit your absence note and our attendance clerk will code the absence accordingly. You can always check your attendance records using the Home Access Center. Should you have additional questions about student attendance, you can always email our attendance clerk, Mrs. Zuniga.
