St Bonaventure's
Exam Results Edition
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you are well and enjoyed a restful and enjoyable summer break.
This year’s examination results are a wonderful way to begin our 150th anniversary celebrations in the next academic year. We are incredibly proud of all our students and deeply grateful to our staff and supportive families for the encouragement and guidance they have provided throughout the year.
Many of our Year 13 students achieved the grades they needed to secure places at leading Russell Group universities, as well as highly competitive Level 7 and Level 8 degree apprenticeships. Our Year 11 students also made us exceptionally proud, achieving one of our strongest sets of GCSE results in recent years, alongside some outstanding individual achievements.
Next week, we look forward to welcoming our new Year 7 and Year 12 students, as well as all those progressing into their next year groups. We hope that the year ahead will be filled with learning, achievement and personal growth. It is also a very special year for our school as we celebrate our 150th anniversary. We have an exciting programme of events planned for our current students, former students, families and friends of the school. If you would like to be part of our 150th anniversary celebrations, please sign up here.
Please continue to keep our school community in your prayers. I look forward to seeing all our students grow both academically and spiritually over the coming year, developing their talents, embracing new opportunities and striving to achieve their full potential.
God Bless,
Mr McCormack
Headteacher
Our school celebrated another strong set of Post-16 results with a near 100% pass rate and 2/3rds of students getting A* to B, continuing a tradition of high achievement and success. Many students will progress to leading Russell Group universities, including UCL, York, Warwick, Nottingham, Manchester and Birmingham, while others have secured places on competitive degree apprenticeships, opening the door to various future careers and reflecting a range of different successes.
Congratulations to all the students who have made themselves, their families, and the whole school community proud. This success reinforces the school’s reputation as one of the leading academic and vocational 6th forms in the London Borough of Newham.

Congratulations go to all of our students and their families on these results. St Bonaventure’s is also looking forward to welcoming many of the Year 11 cohort back in September as they continue their education in the school’s very popular 6th Form.
