Kia ora koutou

A very warm welcome back to Term 3!

We hope everyone had a refreshing break, ready for an exciting term of learning filled with rich experiences, community events, and opportunities to celebrate the many talents of our tamariki.

We have a number of highlights ahead, including (but not limited to) Rugby, Netball, Maths Week, Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori, Year 6 Camp, Junior Showcase and Productions in Years 3 and 4, so we will certainly be keeping the children purposefully engaged across the curriculum once again this term!

See below for our Term 3 ‘Key Dates’ summary, and also please ensure push notifications are enabled on the HERO app to keep informed and up to date.

A reminder also that nominations are now open for the triennial Board Election, so if this is of interest, make sure your nomination is submitted as soon as possible.

The work of the Board is not only of huge value to ensuring we achieve our key objectives and goals at Mt Eden Normal Primary, but also a unique opportunity to develop insight into our work, supporting learners to be ‘Wide-eyed and Enthusiastic About Learning!”

On site, you will have seen by now that our boundary fencing has been replaced, enhancing security for our children, with thanks for everyone's patience while this significant work was completed.

We look forward to a successful term ahead, with a special welcome to all the children and families who join us this term, along with Susan Duncan and Shanty Dowell in Rm 16!

Order Ezlunch and support our school!

We’re using Ezlunch not just to make school lunches easier - but also to help support our school community. What this means is that 10% of every order placed this term will be returned to our school. It’s a simple, everyday way for families to contribute - just by ordering lunch!

If late please call Skids!

We all know that Auckland traffic can be terrible, flat tires occur out of the blue, appointments run long etc. Our wonderful afterschool care Skids is available even for these last minute events. Please keep these numbers somewhere safe. Call Skids first to book them in and then notify the office.

Did you know that stickers found on bags of Yummy Apples are worth 10 points each? Simply cut out the sticker and glue it onto a blank sheet of paper to add to your collection. If your bag of Yummy Apples doesn’t have a sticker, you can still help — just cut out the barcode and glue that onto your sheet instead. Every sticker and barcode collected brings us closer to earning more sports gear for our school. Keep collecting, MENPS — your efforts make a big difference!
