Fifth grade students spent the day at The Mounds in Fairbanks, where they enjoyed an immersive and memorable learning experience. Throughout the day, students rotated through a variety of hands-on stations, each designed to deepen their understanding of local history and cultural traditions.

One of the highlights of the trip was learning about native dances and cultural practices. Students engaged with presenters, asked thoughtful questions, and gained a greater appreciation for the rich heritage of the region.

It was a meaningful day of discovery, connection, and learning outside the classroom. Our students represented their school well and returned with new knowledge and a deeper respect for the culture shared with them.
