A message from the Principal

Dear families,

Thank you! We are so grateful to all of you for celebrating Catholic Schools Week with us and for your generous participation in our very first Giving Day. Education at St. Mary’s is possible because of your financial support, because of the strong partnership between home and school, and because of the incredible team of educators and staff we have built together.

Because of you, we surpassed our Giving Day goal and made significant progress toward our end-of-year initiatives. Your support allows us to continue growing the programming we offer at St. Mary’s, benefiting our students today and continuing the school’s legacy years to come.

Catholic Schools Week was a joyful celebration of our mission. We are especially grateful for the families who joined us for Mass on Sunday, as well as our school Mass on Wednesday, followed by a reception. We were honored to welcome the Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of Boston, Eileen McLaughlin, and the Chair of our Board of Specified Jurisdiction, Damien Leigh, both of whom spoke to families and staff during a community reception.

Throughout the week, we celebrated those who make St. Mary’s so special: our parish community, students and families, the broader community, and our faculty and staff. Highlights of the week (despite the snowstorm!) included a spirited teachers vs. students basketball game, a much-loved tradition where students dressed like their teachers, a visit to AABA Village senior living for our middle schoolers, and so much more.

Catholic Schools Week reminds us that St. Mary’s is more than a school; it is a faith-filled community rooted in our S.T.A.R.S. values. Thank you for being such an essential part of our mission and for helping St. Mary’s continue to thrive.
