Q2 Week 17 Dec 9-13
Carter's Corner
Happy Sunday, Lions!
As we approach the second-to-last week of the semester, I want to emphasize how important attendance is in these final days. Every moment counts as we wrap up learning and prepare for a strong start to the new year. Let’s finish the semester strong together!
A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Karnowski for volunteering as our Watch D.O.G.S. this past week and to Shawn Schexnayder and Mr. Trotter for helping assemble the soccer goal. A special shoutout also goes to the East Dallas Exchange Club for their generous support in bringing this project to life—our students will enjoy it for years to come!
This week, construction will officially begin on our bond project. While we know arrival and dismissal may require some adjustments, I truly appreciate your flexibility as we navigate these changes. A little inconvenience now is the price of progress, and I’m excited about the improvements to come.
We also have some exciting events ahead: Cara Mía Theatre and Santa Claus will be visiting campus this week to bring joy and creativity to our Lions. Let’s make it a memorable week!
Here’s to a great week, full of energy and focus!
Sincerely,
Mr. Carter

Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
This Tuesday, December 12th, marks the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, a significant religious and cultural observance in many communities. It honors the appearance of the Virgin Mary to Saint Juan Diego in Mexico in 1531 and is celebrated with vibrant traditions, including prayer, music, and community gatherings. We recognize and celebrate the diverse cultures and traditions that enrich our Lipscomb community.
To those observing, we wish you a joyful and meaningful celebration!

Hygiene Products and Winter Clothing
We are excited to share that we now have a hygiene closet stocked with male and female products available for any family in need. Additionally, as the temperatures drop, we are providing winter coats to ensure our students stay warm during the colder months.
If your family could benefit from either resource, please reach out to Counselor Green (lwinfield@dallasisd.org) . We will discreetly ensure your student is sent home with what they need. We’re here to support our Lipscomb Lions!

Please take a moment to fill out the survey below. Special thanks to Mrs. Trotter for developing this awesome tool for our school and community.

Santa Claus is Coming this Friday!
Exciting news! Santa will be visiting our Lipscomb Lions this Friday at 9:00 AM! Every student will have the opportunity to take a picture with Santa. Participation is optional, so if you have any questions, concerns, or prefer to opt your child out, please contact their teacher via Class Dojo or email.
We’ll make sure all students who wish to take a picture can do so. Additionally, the PTA kindly welcomes small donations, which will go directly toward supporting your students and enhancing their school experience.
