Principal's Corner

Hi Brendel Families,

Happy Friday! We hope you had a nice week. Thank you for all of your donations for our service learning projects. Student leadership is going to begin working on creating birthday boxes from your donations. We hope to have an assembly once these are finished and present them to families in need.

Lastly, pledge sheet went home for our Monster Mash event. Students can collect pledges until Oct. 20th. This is our one big fundraiser and help support all of the things we do throughout the year. There are also lots of prizes students can enter/win depending on how much they are able to raise. Please see the PTO news below for more information on this. Anything you can give is appreciated!

Thanks,

Mr. Engleman

Yearly Reminders:

Cellphones & Smart Watches: I talked to students this week to remind them about our cell phone policy. All cell phones must be in students backpacks during the entire school day. This goes for smart watches as well. We have had some students being contact by their parents on their personal device. Note that all communication with your child must come through the teacher or the office. We appreciative your support on this.

The Positivity Project: Weekly Focus Review

Dear Families,

Next week, our school focused on the character strength of Open-Mindedness. This means

being willing to consider new ideas and try new things. It involves looking at situations from all

sides and not jumping to conclusions.

Open-mindedness is about seeking out and fairly weighing evidence, even if it goes against our

own opinions or goals. Open-minded people listen to different viewpoints, including those that

are less popular. They are often good listeners and provide balanced advice, which makes them

great friends and confidants.
